;`deliberation, the Board found:
1. This is an application for relief from SECTIOi1 V-
f~rontyard Setback Requirements, to permit. the construc-
tion of a garage within the setback area of a cottage
on Beach woad in Quaise. The Applicant claims this
location Mould serve to pr.eser.ve the view of the water
from the road and i.ts location would be screened by
shrubbery avid protect the car from salt spray.
'l. Although we have favored t.txe construction of garages ,I
din outlying districts as a matter of public safety, we
'are limi+-ed in allowing t-heir. location within the setbacl
~: areas by the req_uiremE~nt of the law that a sufficient
hard~:l,ip must he shown t:o jii~~tify a variance from the
'l.aw. We find no such hardship as rea_uired by the statut~.
The ~?_pF.~li.cant has sufficient room to building the garage
c~~i t}~ in ttie requirements of the zoning by-law.
3. For thE~ reasons sF~t: fox th, the applicat.io~~ is denied
lr~ iGnani.mous vote.
