A Public Hearing of the NANTUCKET ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS will
be held at 1:00 P.M., FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 1998, in the CONFERENCE
ROOM, TOWN ANNEX BUILDING, 37 WASHINGTON STREET, Nantucket,
Massachusetts, on the Application of the following:
MICHAEL L. ASHER AND PETER BRAVERMAN, TRUSTEES OF WINTHROP NANTUCKET
NOMINEE TRUST, FOR THEMSELVES AS OWNERS AND FOR ARNE M. JENSEN, TRUSTEE

Applicants are seeking a SPECIAL PERMIT under Nantucket Zoning
By-Law §139-18(2) and (3) (Parking Requirements), waiving seven (7) of
the required seventeen (17) on-site parking spaces for a proposed
structure containing a first-floor restaurant with seating for up to 95
people and a single-family dwelling on the second floor or up to 1300+
square feet of ancillary storage. The Lot is currently vacant. Ten (10)
parking spaces will be provided to the rear of the building with access
by a proposed easement from Coffin Street.
Applicants are also seeking a SPECIAL PERMIT under Nantucket
Zoning By-Law §139-20C waiving the loading zone requirement.

Addendum
The Applicant is seeking Special Permit relief under the Zoning By-law §139-18(2) & (3)
waiving seven (7) of the required seventeen (17) on-site parking spaces for a proposed
structure containing a first floor restaurant seating up to 95 people and a single dwelling
on the second floor or up to 1300 SF of ancillary storage. Also Special Permit relief is
being sought under the Zoning By-law § 139-20C waiving the loading zone requirement.
Ten (10) conforming parking spaces will be provided behind the building with access by
easement from Coffin Street. Deliveries will occur in morning with trucks temporarily
using a portion of the rear parking area. Restaurants are allowed by right in this district
and the proposed structure will meet all other zoning requirements.
