DECISION:
At a regular meeting of the Board of Appeals held on
Friday, September 19, 1980, at 3:00 P.M., at the Town
and County Building, in t~e matter of'the application 0
ROBERT W. McGRATH, JR. (030-80), after due deliberation,
the Board found:
1. This is an application for a Special Permit to
operate a garage for storage, repair, and servicing of
motor vehicles on property shown as Lot 10 on Windy Way
off Surfside Road in an area zoned ftesidentialjCommerci I.
2. The property is located in a small commercially
oriented development which already has a contractor's
establishment and other potential business occupants.
It is now a sparsely settled rural area, well screened
by pine trees and set back from the traffic on Surfside
Road. .
3. The business of the applicant is a permitted use in
this area by Special Permit. The applicant is an
experienced mechanic and provides a service to the
general public in a competent manner. The Board, there
fore, finds the proposed use to be in harmony with the
general purpose and intent of the by-law and of benefit
to the general welfare of the inhabitants.
4. The application for a Special Permit to operate a
garage for storage, repiar, and servicin~ to motor
vehicles on Lot IO on Windy Way, as shown on Plan Book
20, Page 66, is unanimously' granted.
