At a re9ular meeting of the roAFD OF APPF.AIS, held Friday, May 23,
1980, at 3:00 P.M., at: the ro..N AND CCUNTY BUIIDING, in the matter
of the application of RICHA1ID E. HILGER (014-80), after due
deliberation, the Board found:
1. 'l'his is an application for a Special Permit to establish a.
gunsmi th operation as an incidental hont:: occupation located ir. an
area zoned La; II. Such use is specifically permitted under the
provisions of Article 21 of the 1980 T~m Meeting.
2. The Board finds t.l-tat this activib..f will be located in a
sparsf'!ly settled area and will be corrluct.ed within tl1e limits of
the amerdrrent to t..'1e zoning by-law. "I'l-'e Applicant is fully
licenses t.o deal in firearms arrl such aeti vi ty \,riJ 1 te clearly
incidental to his custanary errployment. There will be no
J11aDuf acturin0 of firearms on the praTIises, and retail acti vi ties
shall bo; liI11ited by a<rreerrent with the applicant.
3. 1~11erefore, the application far a Special Permit to conduct a
gunsrnit11 operation in premises on South Shore P.oad, shcMn as
lot: )\2 and 132, Book 18, Page 71, is hereby granted subject to the
follOiNing conC.itions by the tma.nirrous vote of the Board:
] . Pet.ail sales snaIl be made only between the hours of
4-6, three days per week, arrl on Saturday rrornings
until noon.
2. 'T'he applicant must obtain and keep all necessary
licenses fran Fedf>xa] I State, and local authorities.
3. No firearms shall be discharged within any area
prohibited by law.
