BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS/SEWER COMMISSIONERS
Minutes of the Meeting of 4 December 1991 at 7:30 PM. The meeting
took place in the Selectmen's Hearing Room, Town and County
Building, 16 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554. Board members
present were Diane Coombs, Bernard Grossman, Carl Borchert, Wayne
Holmes and Nancy Sevrens. The meeting was called to order at 7:30
PM.
A~~roval of the Minutes of August 14. 1991 at 7:30 PM: of September
18. 1991 at 7: 30 PM and of October 2. 1991 at 7: 30 PM. Mrs.
Sevrens moved approval with a waiver of the reading; seconded by
Mr. Holmes. All in favor. So voted.
Public Hearing to Consider Chanaes to the Fee Structures of
Landfill and Sewer User Fee Reaulations for Current Fiscal Year.
Mrs. Sevrens read a memo regarding fiscal year 1992 proposed
changes to the Landfill and Sewer Rates from Mr. Walter Lindberg,
Director of Municipal Finance. Mr. Lindberg explained the fiscal
year 1992 operating costs at the Landfill and how they relate to
the proposed changes. Discussion followed regarding the proposed
changes to the fee structure and the non-paYment of bills. Mr.
Holmes moved approval of the landfill user fee structure for FY
1992 as proposed; seconded by Mrs. Sevrens. So voted. Mr.
Grossman was opposed. Mr. Holmes moved approval of the sewer user
fee structure for FY 1992 as proposed; seconded by Mrs. Sevrens.
All in favor. So voted. The changes are attached to these
minutes.
There being no further business before the Board, it was
unanimously voted to adjourn at 7:57 PM.
