Approval of Minutes form March 27, 1996.

New Business
Nantucket Golf Course "rest stop" water supply: use of non-potable water
supply at the rest rooms located between the 11 th and 12th holes will be
restricted by implementation of several proposed safeguards. DeFeo, Wait &
Pare propose posting permanent signs; providing bottled water for golfers and
maintenance personnel; installation of automatic soap dispensers and shut -off
fixtures at each sink. Health Officer Ray recommends approval with the
above provisions. Board Approval Granted.
Public Hearing
Adoption of State Sanitary Code "Minimum Standards of Fitness for Human
Habitation" as a Local Code: Health Officer Ray proposes that the BOH
adopts the State Code as a Local Code in order to more effectively enforce
the regulations. A four to one vote approves the adoption; the dissenting
vote, by Pam Killen, was based on the argument that individuals evicted on
the basis of "housing code violations" would be unable to find available
alternate housing. Board Approval Granted.
Other Business:
V ariance Request for 0048/0001: by Shugrue for J 000 Welch at Hoicks
Hollow Road, request for a variance to relocate leach pit. Health Officer Ray
recommends approval, Board Approval granted.

Concerns for the Health Officer
The BOH questions potential for Insect Breeding in tires at the Nantucket
Landfill. Health Officer Ray will contact Jeff Willet and look into the
matter.
