BOARD OF HEALTH
Minutes of the Meeting of 30 June, 1993. The meeting took place in
the Selectmen's Hearing Room, Town & County Building, Nantucket, MA
02554. Members of the Board present were: Wayne Holmes, Arthur
Desrocher, Cheryl Bartlett, Timothy Madden and Tim Soverino.
Chairman Holmes called the meeting to order at 8:43 following a
meeting of the County Commissioners.
Approval of Minutes of 26 May 1993. Mr. Desrocher moved approval;
seconded by Mr. Madden. So voted.
Public Hearinq to Consider Whether to Establish a Fee for Temporary
Food Service Establishments (tabled from May 26. 1993). Chairman
Holmes summarized the previous actions with respect to the proposed
fee recommended, and the guidelines which are already in place.
Chairman Holmes opened the hearing and Mr. Madden spoke against
imposing a fee of $10.00 for Temporary Food Service Establishments.
Health Officer Richard Ray summarized the instances in which this
particular fee will be imposed, and how many permits he calculates
will be issued this year. Ms. Bartlett moved to establish a $10 fee
for temporary food service establishments, stipulating that this
fee will be waived for all non-profit fundraising events; seconded
by Mr. Madden. So voted. Mr. Desrocher was opposed.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was
unanimously adjourned at 8:50 PM.
