BOARD OF HEALTH
Minutes of the Meeting of 15 April 1992 at 7:30 PM. The meeting
took place in the Selectmen's Hearing Room, Town Building,
Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board present were: Wayne
Holmes, Nancy Sevrens, Carl Borchert, Arthur Desrocher and Timothy
Madden. Chairman Holmes called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.
Request for Variance Request to be Made to Board of State Examiners
of Plumbers and Gas Fitters. Health Officer Richard Ray explained
that a request had been made by First Winthrop corporation for the
Board of Health to petition the Board of State Examiners of
Plumbers and Gas Fitters to grant a variance on behalf of First
Winthrop for the use of schedule 80 pvc water piping to replace
existing water piping at the Nantucket Boat Basin from the water
mains to each boat slip. Mr Ray explained that the request has been
approved by the town's Plumbing Inspector and that the request is
an appropriate one for the type of variance required. Mr. Desrocher
moved approval as recommended by the Health Officer; seconded by
! Mr. Borchert. All in favor. So voted.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was
unanimously adjourned at 7:35 PM.
