In view of the significant public health concerns surrounding
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), infection with the
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the virus that causes
AIDS, and other Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD), Boards
of Health are playing increasingly critical roles in both
prevention and education. As policy, the Nantucket Board of

of all sexually transmitted diseases. The Nantucket Health
Department has available through its office, latex condoms and
information addressing the proper use of condoms. The
Nantucket Health Department has a reference library with
information on these and many other health-related topics. The
pubic is invited to visit the Health Department office to
review these materials and/or discuss with the staff, these
or any other health-related issues.
