BOARD OF HEALTH
Minutes of the Meeting of
Meeting took place in the
County Building, Nantucket,
were present. The meeting

December 5, 1990 at 7: 30 PM. The
Selectmen's Hearing Room, Town &
MA 02554. All members of the Board
was called to order by Chairman
Approval of the Minutes of November 7, 1990 at 7:30 PM; and of
November 13, 1990 at 4:30 PM. Mrs. Diane Coombs moved approval
of the minutes and to waive reading them; seconded by Mrs. Nancy
Sevrens. All in favor. So voted.
Hearinq on violation of Board of Health Regulation 38.00--
Scallop Shanties. Mrs. Coombs read a letter from Health Officer
Richard Ray which recommended a fine of $100 to be assessed to
Mr. William Sayle for using an unlicensed scallop shanty. Mrs.
Coombs moved to fine Mr. Sayle $50.00; seconded by Mr. Wayne
Viera. Mr. Carl Borchert stated that he preferred to uphold the
Health Officer's recommendation. Mrs. Sevrens concurred with Mr.
Borchert. Chairman Grossman voted with Mrs. Coombs and Mr.
Viera. So voted. Mr. Sayle presented a check made out to the
Town of Nantucket for $50.00 to Mr. Ray.
Mr. Ray announced that a course on licensing people to be lead
paint removers would be held in January.
There being no further business before the Board of Health, the
meeting was unanimously adjourned at 7:50 PM.
