All members of he Board were present. Chairman Grossman called the meeting to rder at 7:32 PM. of the Minutes of A ril 18 1990at 7:30 PM. also of Ma at 4:30 PM. also of Ma 23 1990 at 7:30 PM. and of Ma at 7:30 PM. Ms. Coombs moved approval; seconded by Mrs. So voted. Reading of the Minutes was waived. Re est from 510 CMR 15.03 Minimum Re ulations for the Subsurface Dis osal of Sanitar Sewa e for Alan Morell Codfish Ms. Coombs read the memo from Health Inpsector Ray dated une 12, 1990, recommending granting the variance with a stipulation. Mrs. Sevrens asked if the Board could stipulate hat sewer hook-up occur as soon as it is available. Mr. Ray said yes and explained that this was an existing structure. Mr. Borchert moved granting the variance sought with the stipulation hat the structure be limited to the three existing bedrooms. Seconded by Mrs. Sevrens. So voted. est for A roval of Mos ito Control Pro rams 90-3 90-4. DPW Superintendent Willett described the projects which ere Madaket Ditch/Warren Landing Salt Marshes, Lily Pond Area, and Eel Point Salt Marsh respectively. Mr. Willett stated that the saltwater mosquito proj ects must obtain a permit from the rmy Corps of Engineers. Mr. Willett requested that the Board declare mosquitoes a health nuisance on Nantucket. Mrs. Sevrens said she was concerned that this would open the door to spraying. r. willett said that spraying is not Nantucket's policy and he doubted that the state would impose it. After some more discussion, Ms. Coombs moved to declare only the three areas above-mentioned a health nuisance due to mosquitoes and to approve projects #90-2, #90-3 and #90-4 and at Mr. Borchert's suggestion to delete any reference to "slashbuster" from the project descriptions. Seconded by Mr. Viera. So voted. Mr. Bourgoin stated that the Personnel Board was in favor of extending the contract for the Assistant Health Inspector from July 1, 1990 to August 31, 1990 at $12.50 per hour. Mr. Viera moved approval of this contract amendment as outlined by Mr. Bourgoin. Seconded by Mrs. Sevrens. So voted. There being no further business before the Board, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 7: 48 PM to reopen as the Board of Selectmen.
