BOARD OF HEALTH
The Minutes of the Meeting of Wednesday, October 25, 1989 at 7:30 PM. The
meeting took place in the Selectman's Hearing Room, Town & County Building,
Nantucket, MA 02554. All members were present. Chairman Sevrens called the
meeting to order at 9:03 PM.
Approval of the Minutes of September 13, 1989 at 7:30 PM; also of September
27, 1989 at 7:30 PM: Mr. McLaughlin moved approval of the minutes; seconded
by Ms. Coombs. So voted.
The Board voted unanimously at 9:04 PM to go into Executive Session as the
Board of Selectmen for the purposes of discussing litigation, review of Executive
Session minutes and discussion of Real Estate Acquisition noting it would return
to Open Session as the Board of Health.
The Board returned to Open Session at 9:30 PM.
Variance Request from Title V for Richard Green in Codfish Park: Mr. Viera
read Health Inspector Richard Ray's memo of 10/17/89 recommending granting i
the variance from Section 15.03 (7) of the Board of Health regulations regardin~
distances for the subsurface disposal of sanitary sewage. Mr. Grossman moved I
granting the variance; seconded by Mr. McLaughlin. Mr. Viera opposed the moti01.
So voted; 4 votes to 1 vote, with Chairman Sevrens in favor of the motion. I
