BOARD OF HEALTH
!The Minutes of the Meeting of Wednesday January 18, 1989 at 7:30 PM. The
. imeeting took place in the Selectmen's Hearing Room, Town & County Building,
'Nantucket, MA 02554. All four members of the Board were present. Chairman
~Cabot opened the meeting at 7:29 PM as the Board of Health/Board of Public
iWorks.

IIExecutive Secretary Lee Bourgoin explained the proposed Amendment to the
Isewer Service Connection Regulation of the Town of Nantucket (see attached).
He said it would provide a category for licensed lodging establishments (includirig
!hotels, motels, licensed inns and guest houses) not defined in the current
regulations, halfway between the wet and dry categories of public or commercial
establishments. He reported the Sewer Project Advisory Commitee's proposal
,that the connection fee be set at 55e per square foot with a minimum per unit
10f $1,250.00. Mrs. Sevrens asked if it would include apartments. Mr. Bourgoin
said that apartments would remain classified as residential. Mr. Viera asked
IWhether the prices were per unit. Mr. Bourgoin said yes. Health Inspector
Richard Ray indicated his support for the amendment. Mr. McLaughlin moved
,approval of the Amendment to the Sewer Service Connection Regulation; seconded
!by Mr. Viera. So voted.
