The Minutes of the Meeting of Wednesday, June 29, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. The Meeting
took place in the Selectmen's Hearing Room, Town and County Building, Nantucket,
Ma. 02554. All members of the Board were present with the exception of
Mr. Clute. Chairman Cabot opened the Meeting at 7:48 p.m.
1II1Health Inspector Ray and Marine Superintendent Rezendes came before the Board
!I! to discuss the Dionis Beach Sanitary Facilities. Mr. Ray commented that there
has been a delay in the repair of the bathhouse and that the Marine Department
I has requested the temporary use of portable toilets at the Dionis and Cisco
Beaches for the Lifeguards. Mr. Ray gave a favorable recommendation. He also
mentioned that the D.P.W. should allocate funds immediately to reopen the bath
house. Mr. Rezendes added that the cost to rent the toilets is $200./month
which includes maintainence. He also commented that with the plumber and the
electrical inspector working together, the repairs should be complete by
July 8, 1988.

There being no further business before the Board, Chairman Cabot adjourned the
Meeting at 7:56 p.m. to open as the Board of Selectmen.

* ** The Executive Secretary made an announcement that obtaining sewer connection
permits will now take about two and one-half weeks; there will by no Super-
intendent of Public Works as of July 1, 1988 so that the Sewer Project Advisory
Committee will review applications at its bi-weekly meetings. The newly enacted
Sewer Connection Regulations will apply to all applications.
