The Minutes of the Meeting of Wednesday, May 25, 1988 at 4:00 p.m. The Meeting
took place in the Selectmen's Hearing Room, Town and County Building, Nantucket,
Ma. 02554. All members were present with the exception of Mr. Clute. Chairman
Cabot opened the Meeting at 5:15 p.m.
Mr. Ray was present with a proposed 18 Lot subdivision from Aucoot, Inc.,
Cliff Road, Nantucket. Inspector Ray's concern is that if all of the lots have
houses and septic leachfields built as they want all around the municipal well-
field, the well could only be placed at the center. Mr. McLaughlin asked whethe
there is enough area outside the protected wellfield for the septic systems.
Inspector Ray argued that there should by a restricted use buffer beyond the
munictpal wellfield (if allowed within the purchase-and-sale agreement) or the
subd~~ion should otherwise be required to be sewered. Mr. Viera stated that
the Board should go with Inspector Ray's recommendation. Mr. McLaughlin motione
to table for one week. Mr. Viera motioned to go into Executive Session to confe
with T~on Counsel; seconded by Mr. McLaughlin. So voted.
There being no further business before the Board, Chairman Cabot adjourned the
Meeting at 5:21 p.m. to move into Executive Session.
