HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-04-08 II OOARD OF HEAL'lH The minutes of the April 8, 1987 Meeting The meeting was called to order at 8:02 p.m. Chairman Cabot, Mrs. Sevrens, Mr. Clute, and Mr. McLaughlin, with the absentee of Mr. Gardner. Town Counsel was present, Inspector of Health, Richard Ray was also present. Mrs. Sevrens moved to approve the minutes of February 5, 1987, seconded by Mr. Clute, so voted. Mrs. Sevrens read a letter submitted by Mr. Ray recorrmending a variance requ- est for property owner John Kimmett of Rhode Island Avenue in Madaket. The , request is from Madaket Regulations and Title Five of the State Sanitary Code i for septic systems. Mr. Ray stated that Mr. Kimmett has proposed that the well be moved on this small lot at the furthest point of the lot, thus maximizing the distance between the well and leach facility. This will improve the exi- sting system "by 100%" as stated by Mr. Ray. Mr. Clute, Moved to approve the septic system variance request from Madaket Regualations and Tittle Five of the State Sanitary Code for property owner John Kimmett of Rhode Island Avenue in Madaket as recorrmended by Health Inspector Richard Ray: seconded by Mrs. Sevrens: so voted. ~ Mrs. Sevrens read a letter to the Board from Inspector of Health Richard Ray I recorrmending a variance requests from Title Five of State Sanitary Code for II property owner Daniel O'Keefe in Tom Nevers on a lot abutting Atlantic Boule- vard. Mr. O'Keefe owns half of the road next to the to the center line of the road. Mr. O'Keefe is asking to put in leaching facility underneath the road, maximizing the distance between the well and the leaching facility, now that the property owner is building a structure. The facility will be ten feet with- I in the property line in the road. If the facility fails- due to the fact that no where or the property can a facility be placed at legal distance, the owner will replace the contaminted soil with proper soil in order to keep the facil- ity in its place under the road. Placing the system under the road will be legal by the state. Mr. Clute moved to approve the septic system variance request from section 15:11 Reserve Area and 15:10 (1) distribution box of Title Five of State San- itary Code minimum requirements for subsurface disposal of Sanitary Sewage for Daniel O'Keefe of Tom Nevers as recommended by Inspector of Health Richard Ray, seconded by Mr. McLaughlin, so voted. ./", ,*,. /7(;<-- (~. a~i~~j~..~" Paul J. rgend~l, II .
