I note that publication in the Inquirer & Mirror for one week is required and that the DEQE must be send a copy. EFV/pgm Enclosure ... - BOARD OF HEALTH NOTICE No shellfish shells except as indicated below may be deposited by any person within 1 1/2 miles of the steps of the Pacific National Bank of Nantucket except by permit of the Town Health Officer issued after inspection. Uncured shellfish shells shall not qualify for permit issuance. Any violation of this regulation shall be punished by a fine of $100 if such shells are cured and $200 if such shells are uncured. Each day's failure to comply with an order of the Health Officer requiring removal of shells deposited without the required permit shall constitute a separate violation of this regulation. Open shellfish shells may be deposited without permit on the area so designated for that purpose in the Macadam parking lot at the Jetties bathing beach between the dates of October 1 and May 1.
