BOARD OF HEALTH
Minutes of April 9, 1986 Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7;30 p.m. by Chairman Gardner. All members
were present. Mr. Caobt moved to approve the minutes of the March 26, 1986
meetinq; seconded by Mr. Clute; so voted.
Mr. Cabot read a letter from Inspector of Health, Richard Ray, recommending a
requlation requiring life guards at all privately-owned swimming facilities
open for public use. Although not mandated by state law, Mr. Ray advised the
Board that such mandate is left up to the Board of Health. He also advised
recommendation that, if no life guards are used, signs be posted stating that
swimming is unsupervised. Mr. Clute moved approval; seconded by Mr. Cabot;
so voted.
