HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-07-02 II BOARD OF HEALTH Minutes of July 2, 1985 Meeting The Board of Health's meeting corrmenced at 7: 32 p.m. Bud Clute was absent from the meeting, all other members were present. Minutes of June 26, 1985 were accepted and typed and reading of the same was waived on a IIDtion from Skip Calx>t, seconded by Nancy Sevrens, so voted. variance Request: Edward Stewart, Pocorro Road: Mr. Ray recorrmended the granting of the variance with the following stipulations: 1) The property in question shall be conveyed only to .irrmediate family and a copy of the conveyance to be subni tted to the Board. 2) Upon failure of the system which currently serves roth existing structures, each structure shall have installed an in-ground septic system on each of the b.D separate pieces of property. Bernie Grossman IIDVed to accept Mr. Ray's recanmendation with the assistance of Town Counsel writing language which \<.Duld set up such a degree of relation- I ship which \<.Duld then be recorded in the Registry of Deeds for roth lots, Skip Calx>t seconded the IIDtion, so voted. Tick disease - Mr. Grossman quoted an article stating there was a spray available for humans. Mr. Ray mentioned there was a carcinogen in this spray. III The Board requested further investigation of tick control as there is another case of Lime disease on the Island. I I Francis Street Beach - Mr. Ray, Health Inspector, tested 15 houses in the area with no results. He stated there \<.Duld be further testing, however, the sterilization unit was broken. He \<.Duld have to locate another unit.. Being no further business before the Board of Health, Bernie Grossman IIDVed to adjourn at 7:41 p.m., seconded by Skip Calx>t, so voted.
