Minutes of the February 27, 1985 meeting were accepted as typed and reading of the same was waived on a motion from Selectmen Cabot, seconded by Selectmen Clute, so voted. Announcement by Health Inspector, Richard Ray of Underground Tank Test Seminar: I Health Inspector Richard Ray announced that Friday, March 15, 1985 at 9:30 a.m. Hunter Engineering and Leak Locators would be in the Board of Selectmen's Hearing Room to present ways to install underground tanks cost effectively and discuss additional services available to customers. He said abandoned tanks would also be subject for discussion. He hoped that all interested parties would attend the seminar. Variance Request: Application presented by Mr. Ray for Cuddy and Mezias condominiums for a variance from the Madaket Regulations to construct another septic system to replace a failed one on an undersized lot in Madaket. Mr. Ray recommended approving the application provided they follow the recommendations he made for construction. Mrs. Sevrens was concerned that such approval might not be appropriate for condominium use. Mr. Ray explained that the dwellings were in place years ago. They were not changing the use of the dwelling, merely improving the failed system. Again, this would be an improvement over what is presently there. I Bud Clute moved to approve Mr. Ray's recommendations, seconded by Jack I Gardner, so voted. I Being no further business before the Board of Selectmen, Skip Cabot moved to adjourn, seconded by Jack Gardner, so voted. Meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. BOARD OF HEALTH "l' t" If {,., /Ji J J dttL{ :/f.. . (I Vi-,,_~. /". Barbara M. Dale Assistant Executive Secretary BMD:bd I II I, II II I I I I \,
