The Eoard of Health Meet:in.J camnenced at 7:30 p.m. ",--11 members were present.
T he minutes of the June 27, 1984 meeting ~e accepted as typed and reading
of tre same was waived on a rrotia1 fran Rogers "Skip" Cabot, seconded by
ClErles "Jack" Gardner, ro voted.
Water Quality Testing at Children's :!:Each: H2alth Inspector Richard Ray
was present to report on ttE water quality testinj at Children's Peach
which vas conducted July 2 and 3rd. IE wrote "As is apparent, coliform
levels at Children's B9a.ch ffive dropped considerably to within the safety
levels prescribed for bath:in.J. Noting this, this officer has opened the
above noted l:each." Harine Biologist Ken Kelley added that "our hi<lJh
findings of last ~ek could possibly be caureJ. by the heavy rains of last
I'bnday and the resultant storm runoff."
Mr. Ray furtlEr explainro to the Ibard trot rain water has a very r.igh count
of coliform and with the wind it prol::ably reld tLe polution in tre tarbor.

every t:irne it rains. Damy Oliver said he "'-QuId take a look at it. He
suggested tffit possibly the toilet is rooked up to the storm drain.
T re Ibard asked Ricrord Ray to look into furtrer recamnendat ioos on row
the Town could go about studying the problem. They asked Mr. Ray to
helve a report by August 1st if possible.
Peing no furtrer rosiness of the Ibard of Health, Jack Gardner rroved to
adjourn at 7:55 p.m., seconded by Bld Clute, ro voted.
