Minutes of June 6, 1984 Meeting
The lbard of Health mEeting camnenced at 7: 30 p.m. All memrers v.ere present.
Selectmen Cal:ot moved to accept the minutes af May 16, 1984 as typed and
vaived tre reading of tre same, seconded by Mr. Clute, so voted.
Ccrnmon Victualer License for Ice-Cream Stand at Parrett's Tours, Federal Stree-q:
A letter v.as received fran Elizareth Moynihan requesting permission to sell
ice-cream in the stand located across fran the Information Bureau and next to
Parrett's Tour Canpany. H?al th Inspector Richard L. Ray wrote to tre Board
saying trot roch permission, if granted, 'lrDuld take the form of a canrocm
vicblaler license, l1.cMever, "this structure vas placed at its present location
as a "temporary structure" a numrer of years ago. My concerns are for the
fOlmdation's structural integrity with respect to floor loading capacity.

adequate rot and cold v.ater stall re ropplied at the proper terrperatures (170 ).
Tre lbard v.as concerned with tre structural integrity of the wilding. They
alro suggested trot tre building was inconsistent with standards of the old
historic district. Jack Gardner moved to table a decision for one week;
have the B'J.ilding Irnpector look at tre structure and creck with the HI:x: on
what approvals exist for this structure, seconded by Mrs. Sevrens, so voted.

v.as read fran Hea.lth Inspector Richard L. Ray recanrnending tre granting OF
certain variances fran tre State Sanitary Code's minimum requirements for
subrorface disposal of sanitary sewage for replacement of a failed septic
system at Osprey Way, Hi.mmock Pond. His letter noted "efforts rave reen nade
to locate tte leach tranches as far fran Hmmock Pond as possible in order to
prevent any leacrote fran entering into the pond awtting this tmdersized lot."
Hr. Ray alro requested trot tte lbard declare this an emergency situation in
order that repairs nay re effected immediately.
Mr. Clute moved to accept the recanrnendation of the:'H2alth Inspector and grant
tre situation an emergency for immediate repairs to tre septic S"ystem,
seconded by Selectmen Cabot, so voted.
