HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-05-25 BOARD OF HEALTH MINUTES OF THE MAY 25, 1983 MEETING The Board of Health Meeting commenced at 7:50 p.m. after a brief session as County Commissioners. All members were present. Minutes of the May 11, 1983 meeting were accepted as typed and reading of the same was waived on a motion from Skip Cabot, seconded by Bud Clute, so voted. Request for Mobile Food Service License: Daniel B. Chatellier: A letter from Mr. Chatellier requesting a license for a vehicle to sell various healthy foods at suitable beach locations not serviced by the Town concession area. Health Inspector Richard Ray noted that in the event the Board approves thisrequest, the vehicle must be inspected by the Health Officer in order to ascertain compliance with Article 10 of the State Sanitary Code (Minimum Sanitation Requirements for Food Service Establishments). Mr. Grossman said he would authorize the van but not where it would be located. Jack Gardner moved to table for one week, subject to inspection of the van, seconded by Bud Clute, so voted. The Board wanted to make sure the van was in keeping with Nantuc keto One-Day Sale of Food: Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts: A letter from Vince Mann, Troop 97, requesting permission to have the local cub scout pack and boy scout troop sell hot dogs, pop corn, brownies and other junk food on Sunday, May 29, 1983 at the Courtyard, Straight Wharf. Similar requests have been routinely approved in previous years reported Mr. Bergman. Skip Cabot moved to approve the request, seconded by Bud Clute, so voted.
