Approval of October 20, 1982 meeting minutes were accepted as typed and
reading of the same was waived by Mr. Grossman, seconded by Mr. Gardner,
so voted.
Variance Request: Alexander and Suzanne Parks, Nobadeer Way: Letter from
Health Inspector Richard Ray was read recommending that a variance be
granted from 310 CMR Title V, section 15.03 (7) for a three-bedroom dwelling
on Nobadeer Way. Ten feet are required from the leach facility to the
property line, rot only one foot is availclvble. "I would recommend granting
the above noted variance request, as placement of the proposed leach facility
in any other area on the lot would encroach upon the 100 foot separation
of the owner's leach facility and well, thereby potentially compromising
the potability of their water supply."
Mr. Grossman asked if this would have an effect on any abutting lots.
Mr. Ray said that it would not.
Bernard Grossman asked that the request be accepted. The motion was seconded
by Skip Cabot, so voted.
Variance Request: Enid Williams, Wauwinet: Letter from Richard Ray requesting
a variance request from 310 CMR title V for repair of a septic system in
Wauwinet. Mr. Ray noted that the lot was extremely undersized, rot the
placement of this repair system is extrememly limited due to an immense
sand dune starting at the rear of the house and ~xtending up to the bank
overlooking the water. To move the system would require altering a present
sand dune, possibly effecting erosion. He requested that all variances
be granted with the stipulation that the leach facility be reduced in size
by 50% in order that no additional septage be added to a variance system.
He also recommended that all sewage pipes passing within ten feet of a
pressurized water system be constructed of class 150 pressure pipe and should
be tested to assure water tightness.
Jack Gardner moved that all recommendations be accepted, seconded by Mr. Clute,
so voted.
Subdivision Approval: 2 lots on Dionis City Road; David and Pamela Benedict,
owners. Letter from Health Inspector regarding the 2 lots of Mr. and Mrs.
Benedict. He notes that Lot 1 has a previously existing structure with a
functioning septic system. That Lot 2 is acceptable for septic system design
providing leach trenches are used due to high ground water and that the same
lot should be replaced when more definitive dwelling locations are selected.
Mr. Clute motioned to approve Mr. Ray's recommendations, seconded by Kenneth
Holdgate, Jr., so voted. It was noted that Lots had been approved by Conservat' n
Commission.
Motion made to adjourn by Mr. Clute, seconded by Mr. Grossman, so voted.
Meeting adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
