HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-04-28 II BOARD OF HEALTH Minutes of Meeting of April 28, 1982 This meeting of the Board of Health convened at 8:45 PM after a lengthly session as County Commissioners. All members were present. Minutes of the Board of Health Meeting of April 21, 1982 were approved and accepted as prepared on motion by ~~. Grossman, seconded by Mr. Gardner, so voted. PUBLIC HEARING As advertised, two sets of regulations are proposed by Health Inspector Richard Ray for Toilet Facilities in restaurants for 25 or more persons that are not I regulated by the MGL Chapter 138 concerning alcoholic beverages. These regulatio~s, as requested by the Board of Health several weeks ago, are for two categories: . one, retroactive to include exisiting establishments- the other a grandfather clause exempting establishments now in operation. Copies of the proposed regula-! tions had been sent to all those existing establishments that could be affected.! Health Inspector Richard Ray addressed the meeting and stated two changes to be made in the printed forms for both proposals: the first being that the word "served" in the seventh line of Section "A" be deleted; the second being that he has been made aware that the original proposals listed a table for toilet fixtures (Section "I") that is outdated. He has a new, and revised table from "Rules and Regulations" of the Plumbing Code that is to be inserted as follows: Occupancy Load Min. No. Water Closets Min. Walker read wherein he advises IBoard that a meeting was held on Thursday, April 22, 1982, with Selectman Clute, I I!Engineer Fred Roland, Mr. Vanderwolk and his attorney and engineer and himself, . lias suggested at the last Board meeting. Supt. Walker states the points of agree- iment and that the plans and specifications for the pumping station for this ISUb-d~vision are to be provided for his consideration before delivery of ~quip- i iment ~s made to the Island. Copy of a letter sent to Out Islands Internat~onal . [d/b/a Sankaty Village Realty Trust in care of Schofield Bros., Inc., dated April! 123, 1982, was also presented in which it is stated "Design features to be includ~d iare those noted previously in Sheaffer and Roland letter dated May 22, 1981 and !the following: (1) increase the wetwell diameter to six feet; (2) alarm light 'Ifor all malfunctions; (3) check valve on force main side; (4) electrical meter ! hOOk-up; (5) adjustbale water level alarm.
