BOARD OF HEALTH
Minutes of the Meeting of January 6, 1982
The regular meeting of the Board of Health was called to order at 7:31 p.m.
by Chairman Holdgate. All members were present.
The Minutes of the Meeting of December 29, 1981 were accepted as typed.
1. ll-Lot Section of Dias Subdivision off Hooper Farm and Surfside Roads;
OWner, Dias Realty Trust: Report from Health Inspector Richard L. Ray
was read and noted the following:
1. Lots 56 and Lots 63 through 69 are acceptable for septic system
design.
2. Lots 70, 71, and 72 are acceptable for septic system design with
the use of leach trenches due to high ground water encountered at
a depth of seven (7) feet. Lot 72 may require placement of clean
fill atop of the leach trenches in order to comply with Title V.
Jack Gardner motioned to approve the report and recommendations of Health
Inspector Richard Ray. Seconded by Bernard Grossman. So voted.
Proposed 4-10t Subdivision off South Shore Road; OWner, Ernest and Cath-
erine Tripp: Report from Health Inspector Richard L. Ray was read and
noted the following:
1. Lot 1 is an unbuildable lot due to insufficient area as per present
zoning requirements.
Lot 2 is acceptable for septic system design.
Lot 3 is acceptable for septic system design.
Lot 4 has an existing dwelling with a functioning septic system.
Gardner motioned to approve the report and recommendations of Health
Richard Ray. Seconded by Bernard Grossman. So voted.

3. Ryder House, 66 Orange Street: Letter read from Robert Lechter.
Bernard Grossman asked if the liability insurance was still in effect.
Norman Chaleki was present at the meeting and recommended that the Board
allow the matter to continue until January 30, 1982. If the building permit
is not issued at that time, he will come back with a stronger recommendation.
If no action is taken at that time, he will begin proceedings for stronger
action.
Bernard Grossman motioned to grant the extension of time on the condition
that the Town receives a formal notice that it is covered with insurance.
Seconded by Jack Gardner. So voted.
4. Fire-damaged Structure: Report received from Norman Chaleki on the con-
dition of the building located on Dave Street that was damaged by a fire.
Mr. Chaleki stated that the building has not been boarded up properly and has
advised the owners of this. If action is not taken immediately, he will do
something about it.
There being no other business, the regular meeting of the Board ~f Health
was adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
