BOARD OF HEALTH
Minutes of the Meeting of August 2', 1981
The regular meeting of the Board of Health was called to order at
8:47 p.m. by Chairman Holdgate. All members were present.
The Minutes of the Meeting of August 19, 1981 were accepted as typed.
1. Meadow Lane - 5-lot subdivision: Letter from Richard Ray, Health Inspector
noting the following observations
1. Lot 1 was not perced as it has an existing dwelling and septic system.
2. Lot 5 is acceptable for septic system design with no stipulations.
3. Lots 2, 3, and 4 are acceptable for septic system design with the
following stipulations --
a. All clay must be removed from the perimeter of any
leach facility for a distance of ten feet.
b. The bottom of the leach facil ity must not 1 ie on em-
pervious material (clay).
Jack Gardner stated that he bel ieved that in a case such as this, there was
an existing sewer system available. He motioned to remand case back to Mr. Ray
for further investigation. Motion seconded by Bernard Grossman. So voted.
2. Sankaty Road/Tom Nevers Head - 5-lot subdivision: Letter from Richard Ray,
Health Inspector, noting the following observations
1. All lots are acceptable for septic system design and offer no health
hazards to the neighboring community.
Jack Gardner motioned to approve report of Health Inspector Ray. Seconded by
. Roger Young. So voted.
13. South Shore Road - 21-lot subdivision: Letter from Richard Ray, Health
Inspector, noting the following observations
1. All lots are acceptable for septic system design.

Roger Young. So voted.
There being no other business, the meeting of the Board of Health was
adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
