BOARD OF HEALTH
Minutes of the Meeting of August 5, 1981
The meeting of the Board of Health was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by
Chairman Holdgate. All members were present.
1. TOILET FACILITIES, ISLAND RESTAURANTS Jack Gardner read letter from
Richard Ray, Health Officer, concerning toilet facilities in island restaurants.
Bernard Grossman made recommendation to refer to Town Counsel. He stated
that in the interest of publ ic health, toilet facil ities should be provided
where there is a seating capacity of 25 seats or more. Jack Gardner seconded
motion to refer Town Counsel, Charles Gogl ia, with a copy to the Chamber of
Commerce. So voted.
2. SEPTIC SYSTEM APPROVAL: FRANCES LAING Jack Gardner read letter from
Board of Health concerning septic system approval of two lots owned by Frances
Laing, located off Somerset Road. Motion made to approve health officer's
report by Jack Gardner. Seconded by Bernard Grossman. So voted.
3. SEPTIC SYSTEM APPROVAL: 3M TRUST Jack Gardner read letter from Board
of Health concerning septic system approval of property owned by 3M Trust,
located off Somerset Road. Motion to accept report by Jack Gardner. Question
to approve from Bernard Grossman. Motion made by Kenneth Holdgate to forward
report to Planning Board for approval. Seconded by Jack Gardner. So voted.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
