All members were present. inutes of the Meeting of December 10, 1980 were accepted as typed and reading 0 the same were waived on motion by Mr. Young, seconded by Mr. Knott, so voted 4-0. PINEVIEW APARTMENTS: Health Inspector Richard Ray's letter to Mr. Richard LaSa11 o a Rlver, Ma., owner of Pineview Apartment complex on Old South Read was read wherein Mr. LaSalle was advised that the new potable water well that was ecent1y installed is within 100 feet of an existing in-ground septic system and thereby violates Section 3.7 of Title Five of the State Sanitary Code. This secti n tipu1ates that no well shall be located within 100 feet of a proposed or existi leach facility. That unless written approval from the Department of Environmental ua1ity Engineering can be obtained, this well will have to be abandoned and re- located. Mr. Young motioned that this letter be placed on file, seconded by Mr. i1iver, so voted 4-0. ea1th Inspector Ray addressed the BOard and gave an oral report as to the meetin f the MA. Health Officers Association that he recently attended. He said that ew regulations as to restaurants were discussed. Been updated. Vending machines ere the main area of change. We do not have on Nantucket. Also, new sanitizing ishwashing machines and their temperatures, etc. were discussed. Cuts in Board f Health /emp10yees because of Proposition 2~ also discussed. Also, that most umps are going to be closing one day during the week and staying open Saturday nd Sunday afternoons. A DEQE Representative was there and talked of Hazardous aste areas. Explained how Nantucket was put on list. Automatic listings also "nc1uded the Cape Cod Mall. Told him about the fact that EPA has come up with a ewer Plan. Told him I would send him a copy. He assured me that this would proba 1y ake us off this list. ffice of the Health Inspector will be closed on Thursday, December 18, 1980, so hat Mr. Ray can attend the monthly meeting of the Cape and Islands Emergency edica1 Services System in Hyannis, on motion by Mr. Oliver, seconded by Mr. Knott o voted 4-0. here being no further business before the Board, a motion to adjourn at 7:45PM as made by Mr. Knott, seconded by Mr. Young, so voted 4-0. /~~~ Kenneth W.
