HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-07-16 o BOARD OF HEALTH Minutes of Meeting of July 16s 1980 The regular Board of Health Meeting opened at 7:30 PM. All members were present. Minutes of the regular meeting of July 9s 1980 were accepted as typed and readin of the same was waived on motion by Mr. Youngs seconded by Mr. Gardners so voted 4-( PROPOSED TWO LOT SUBDIVISION/OFF EEL POINT ROAD/LOUIS DAVIDSON: Health Inspector s report read wherein he recommends that both lots are acceptable for septic syste designs that lots should be re-pierced when more definitive dwelling locations are selected. That all perc information is available in the file of the Health Inspector. On site inspection and plot plan review were made to determine the above recommendations. Motion was made by Mr. Young to accept the recommendation of the Health Officers seconded by Mr. Gardners so voted 4-0. PROPOSED TWO LOT SUBDIVISION/OFF .EEL POINT 'ROAD/BETTY HOGAN: Health Inspector1s report read wherein he advises Board that an on-site inspection and plot plan review were made and the following observations are noted: That Lot 68 is accept b1t for septic system designs that Lot 69 was not pierced as there is an existing septic system functioning on this lots that all perc test information is on file in the office of the Health Inspectors that Lot 68 should be re-pierced when more definitive dwelling locations are submitted. Mr. Young motioned that the recomme da. tions of the Health Officer be accepted, seconded by Mr. Gardners so voted 4-0. LETTER/NON~RE UIRED RESTROOM FACILITIES-RESTAURANTS: Copy of letter addressed to he N. I .C am er of Commerce by. Ms. Donna Smlth of Roc lands Ma. was read wherein she recommends that consideration be given to requiring restrooms in all restaurants hat she and her family as well as friends found it bothersome to have to continu 11J go to the Tourist Information Center to use public bathroom facilities during the r recent visit to Nantucket. Health Inspector Richard Ray gave requested comments t Board, that Massachusetts Law does not require restrooms for patron1s use except under Chapter 138 which pertains to those establishments with alcoholic licenses. here being no further business before the Boards a motion to adjourn this meetin at 7:35 PM was made by Mr. Knotts seconded by Mr. Young, so voted 4-0. ~~ Kenneth W.
