Minutes of Meeting of 7 November 1979
A regular Meeting of the Board of Health opened at 7:31 PM. Chairman Buckingham,
Selectmen Knott, Gardner and Holdgate were present. Selectman Young was absent.
The Minutes of the Meeting of October 31, 1979, were accepted as typed and readi
of the same was waived on a motion by Mr. Holdgate, seconded by Mr. Gardner, so
voted 3-0.
VARIANCE - E. WILLIAMS: Letter report from Health Inspector Richard Ray regardin
this Variance for an existing dwelling was read. Mr. Ray recommended the grantin of
this Variance with the following reasons: (1) an undersized lot, because of the
existing well location a leach facility cannot be located anywhere on the lot an
still maintain a 100 foot distance from the well; (2) DEQE has been consulted co er
ing this design plan and they donot advocate moving an existing well to attain t
100 foot setback. They do require an upgrading of the presently failed system. T
proposed system will be 751 from the existing well- this is an upgrade of 25 fee,
and the area designated for the proposed system is the furthest distance availabl
from the existing well; (3)The denial of this variance would render this dwellin
uninhabitable. Mr. Holdgatemotioned that the recommendations of the Health Offic
be accepted, seconded by Mr. Gardner, so voted 3-0.
There being no further business before the Board, Mr. Gardner motioned to adjour
at 7:37 PM, seconded by Mr. Holdgate, so voted 3-0.
