Report from Inspector of Health presented no problems, but the report from DPW indicated more information is needed on water main size, plans for increasing catch basin design laterals from 8" to 15", and suggested a final review to make sure structural placement of dwellings as determined provides for adequate lot drainage. Selectman Haley felt strongly that these matters should be resolved before Board of Health approval given, and Board voted to table the matter until potential problems could be resolved satisfactorily. SUBDIVISION - HARRIET BACKUS Report from Inspector of Health indicated that Lots 38,39 and 40 might present problems installing septic systems because of ground water level and that no potable water is available on individual lots in this area. DPW report showed that results of percolation tests in this area were not supplied and topographi a1 elevations are missing on definitive plan. Selectman Haley made a motion to table this also until more information is forthcoming. Planning Board member Donald Visco commented to the Board that on both of the above subdivisions the Board was supposed to act only on health matters and not any pertaining to Planning Board jurisdiction. Board felt the matters for which the two subdivisions were tabled were Board of Health matters and both were tabled on that basis. At a special meeting of the Board of Health at noon, September 2, 1975, it was further voted to approve the Milestone Associates subdivision, with the following notations: Supt. Corcoran informed the Board that the engineer, John Shugrue, will make the necessary changes in pipe diameter and catch basin design and Inspector of Health Purdy shall inspect at various stages of progres to ensure compliance with sanitary systems.
