BOARD OF HEALTH MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF NOVEMBER 20, 1974 SANFORD TUTTLE - VARIANCE Board granted variance to Sanford Tuttle, Codfish Park, for disposal system. There was no objection from the Inspector of Health, who informed the Board this was necessary to avoid the existing water line. DECEMBER 18, 1974 SUBDIVISIONS Board approved subdivision plans submitted by Willie House and also by Frank Sylvia. No objections from Mr. Jones or Donald Purdy. DECEMBER 26, 1974 SUBDIVISION - NANTUCKET DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION Approval was withheld for proposed subdivision requested by Nantucket Developmen Association because evaluation by Inspector of Health indicated percolation and soil observation tests have not been held. Report from Superintendent Jones indicated source of water was not shown. Also, town sewer system is not available in this area and indivisual disposal works will be required. SUBDIVISION - HENRY AND FLORENCE COFFIN Board approved request for subdivision requested by Henry and Florence Coffin in Siasconset, based on reports from Inspector of Health Purdy and Mr. Jones. January 2, 1975 SUBDIVISION - CAPE COD AND ISLANDS CONSTR. CO. Evaluation of Mr. Jones indicated several items which needed attention prior to granting of approval. There was no objection from Inspector of Health Purdy. Board withheld approval and referred application to the applicant for correction of those points brought out by Mr. Jones. SUBDIVISION - NANTUCKET DEVELOPMENT A revised report from Inspector of Health Purdy indicated that percolation tests had been accomplished and that there are no objections to the proposed subdivision. Board approved. January 29, 1975 AIR POLLUTION VIOLATIONS Copies of letters sent from Southeastern Mass. Air Pollution Control District regarding Cape Cod and Islands Construction Co. and Mike Lamb, Inc. were read. Inspector of Health Purdy, who was present, said the Cape Cod and Islands Construction Company had ordered scrubbers for their asphalt plant, but there were deficencies in the plan. A conference is needed on this. Mr. Gardner said the plant is at present shut down. In the case of Mike Lamb, Inc., Mr. Purdy informed the meeting that the violati n is due to neglect of registration of his cement mixer. Mr. Lamb was to call the Pollution Control District on Thursday regarding this. SUBDIVISION - WESLEY SIMMONS Referred to Donald Purdy was a request for a de~initive subdivision plan for ~oJesley and Mary Simmons. V ARrANCE - MANLEY Board approved variance for repair and expansion of existing system for Ms. Joan Manley, Grove Lane.
