BOARD OF HEALTH
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF AUGUST 28, 1974
SUBDIVISION - EARL J. MAYO
Board received definitive subdivision plan of Earl J. Mayo, Appleton Road.
This was referred to Mr. Jones and Mr. Purdy.
SUBDIVISION - JOHN E. DOBLE
Preliminary subdivision plan for property of John E. Doble in "Sconset was
received and forwarded to Messrs. Jones and Purdy.
COMPLAINT - PROPERTY OF GILBERT WYER
Letter from Mr. Ted Strong regarding garbage on the property of Gilbert Wyer at
Surfside and Bartlett Farm Roads. Mr. Strong says crates of garbage from the
super markets are taken there to feed the various animals, and he is afraid of
a rat problem because of this. Inspector of Health Purdy had checked the area
for rats and said he found no evidence of them, but that he would write to
Mr. Wyer about cleaning up the area in general.
YACHT HOLDING TANKS
Included in comments from a letter received from Mrs. Phil Patterson was mention
of a yacht owner anchored out in the harbor and not using a holding tank, as
they had been told they were not required to if they were anchored out in deep
water past A,B,C buoys. Mr. Holdgate said there had been no problems with
water pollution and this was confirmed by Mr. Purdy, Inspector of Health, who
said that the water sample reports had been excellent all summer.

VARIANCE - CROZIER
Board approved request from Schofield Brothers for a variance for Nancy Crozier,
Rhode Island Avenue. Evaluation from Inspector of Health Purdy showed no
objections to this.
September 11, 1974
VARIANCE - ROBERT HORTON
Request from Schofield Brothers for a variance on behalf of Robert Horton was
received. Evaluation by Inspector of Health Purdy indicated he would like a
new plan showing the seepage pit and well moved to different locations prior to
granting of variance. Mr. Purdy so notified Mr. Shugrue, and variance is being .th-
held pending submission of new plans.

DEFINITIVE SUBDIVISION PLAN - MAYO ET AL
Board approved subdivision plan for Mayo, Sayles, Sjolund development off
Appleton Road. Evaluation by Purdy was in accord. Comment from Mr. Jones was
that he felt the developer should be responsible for doing work on the road.
VARIANCE - JOHN LEARY
Variance, as requested by Schofield Brothers, Inc. for John S. Leary, was approve.
Evaluation from Inspector of Health Purdy indicated no objections.
October 30, 1974
SUBDIVISION - MIACOMET REALTY TRUST
Board approved application of Miacomet Realty Trust for a subdivision. Planning
Board to be notified. Evaluations received from Messrs. Purdy and Jones.
Mr. Jones' evaluation had some pertinent comments which were forwarded to the
Planning Board.
DISPOSAL WORKS INSTALLERS~ PERMIT
For the record, it was noted that Donald Purdy had given permission to
Emanuel Roberts, dba Roberts Crane Service to obtain a Disposal Works Installers
