Holdgate. SUBDIVISION - BARBARA A. LAWRENCE Board tabled application of Barbara A. Lawrence for subdivision off Derrymore Road until the status of the road(s) in the area is checked out. July 24, 1974 Board granted variance for a disposal system for Charles R. Rickards, at the request of John Shugrue. Inspector of Health Purdy recommended that well~ be moved to the south corner of the property and this was noted. July 31, 1974 Board received letter from the Planning Board that Douglas Lawrence has withdrawn his subdivision plan for two lots on Derrymore Road. ~pproval was given for Creeks Preserve (Roe Corporation) for a subdivision in MOnomoy area. Evaluations by Mr. Jones and Mr. Purdy indicated no objections. VARIANCE - THURSTON WRIGHT Variance requested by Schofield Brothers, Inc. on behalf of Thurston wright was approved. Evaluation by Inspector of Health showed no objections. August 14, 1974 PAUL HARRINGTON Board approved definitive plan of Paul Harrington, Roberts Lane area) for a I-lot subdivision, there being no objections from Inspector of Health Purdy or Mr. Jones. August 21, 1974 VARIANCE - CHRISTOPHER HOLLAND Board approved request from Carl Borchert for a variance for Christopher Holland at Codfish Park, there being no objection from the Inspector of Health to this. MADAKET REGULAnONS Board of Health voted to adopt recommendation of Whitman and Howard to amend the Madaket area health regulations as follows: "The distance of a leaching faei1ity from a property line should be increased from 10 feet to 50 feet. Where the property line abuts a roadway or other land restricted from building, the ~idth of the roadway or restricted land can be included as part of the 50 foot set-back requirement. No leaching facility can be located closer than 10 feet to any property line." A second recommendation: "In areas where the percolation rate is two (2) minutes or less per inch and the maximum ground water elevation is between two (2) and four (4) feet below the bottom of the leaching facility, the distance between the disposal area and any water supply well should be increased from 100 to 150 feet" was not accepted, as it was decided to handle each request for a variance on an individual basis.
