BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Minutes of the meeting of2 November 2005 at 3:00 PM. The meeting took place in the Conference
Room, Town and County Building, 16 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board
present were Douglas Bennett, Brian Chadwick, Bruce Watts and Whiting Willauer. Michael Glowacki
was absent. Vice-Chairman Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM.
Appf()valofPayroU Warrantfor Week Endin~October2005. The Board approved the payroll
warrant by unanimous consent.
ApPrQyal of Ireasury Warrant for Week Ending 2 Novemb(;:r 2005. The Board approved the treasury
warrant by unanimous consent.
Sel~Gtm~n' s ReI2-Q!1:s/Commenl~ Mr. Bennett provided the Board with a letter requesting that the Board
meet with the Nantucket Energy Commission within the next 90 days to discuss a policy regarding the
purchase of electricity.
Mr. Watts left the meeting and did not return.
Mr. Willauer noted that the Department of Wildlife & Fisheries (DWF) will be holding its Public
Hearing on whether to schedule a special deer hunting week on Nantucket on November 21, 2005 and
he feels there may be a "time crunch" for the Board to provide a recommendation to DWF if this matter
is not discussed at the November 9, 2005 Board of Selectmen meeting. A brief discussion followed.
Mr. Willauer discussed an upcoming executive session meeting with representatives from the Great
Harbor Yacht Club.
The meeting adjourned at 3: 1 0 PM.
