BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Minutes of the Meeting of 12 April 2006 at 9:15 AM. The meeting took place in the Conference
Room, Town and County Building, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board present were
Michael Glowacki, Brian Chadwick, Whiting Willauer and Douglas Bennett. Also present was
Michael Kopko who was elected at the April 11 , 2006 Annual Town Election. Chairman Glowacki
called the meeting to order at 9:15 AM.
Swearinq-in Ceremony for Selectman Elected at April 11 , 2006 Annual Town Election. Town Clerk
Catherine Stover conducted the swearing-in ceremony for Mr. Kopko.
Election of Officers for Board of Selectmen. Mr. Chadwick nominated Mr. Glowacki as chairman.
Mr. Bennett nominated Mr. Willauer as Chairman. There were no further nominations. Mr.
Glowacki received votes from Mr. Chadwick and himself. Mr. Willauer was elected chairman,
receiving votes from Mr. Bennett, Mr. Kopko and himself.
Mr. Willauer opened nominations for vice-chairman. Mr. Bennett nominated Mr. Glowacki. Mr.
Willauer nominated Mr. Kopko and Mr. Bennett seconded. There were no further nominations. Mr.
Glowacki was elected vice-chairman with votes from Mr. Chadwick, Mr. Bennett and himself. Mr.
Willauer and Mr. Kopko abstained.
Discussion followed on nominations for County Commissioners, which will occur at its next meeting
on or before April 26, 2006.
The meeting adjourned at 9:25 AM.
