Minutes of a Board of Appeals meeting, October 2, 1978. Pre-
sent were members Holmes, Bartsch, and Hyde.
In the matter of the petition of Everett Lamb, 022-78: The
members reviewed the information presented at the meeting of Sep-
tember 19, 1978 and received information from the chairman as to
his inspection of the locus.
After due deliberation the Board found:
1. The use contemplated by the petitioner could be conducted
in this location without any injury to, or lessening of the value
of, the properties of neighbors;
2. The general area is one of sparse residential development
and mixed commercial uses;
3. The proposed use, if utilizing Bartlett Road as an access
and means of ingress, will present no hazard to the school zone
and attendant facilities.
Upon motion by Member Hyde and seconded by Member Bartsch, it
was unanimously voted that the petition be granted subject to the
following restrictions:
1. That the proposed use be shielded from view from SurfsidE
Road by maintaining existing plantings and trees, including the
replacement of such plantings and trees as may be required;
2. That no building be placed closer than 100' from Surfside
Road; and,
3. That the only means of access and ingress to the propose<
use and premises be from Bartlett Road.
Therefore, the special permit is conditionally granted.

In the matter of the petition of Richard Coffin, _023-78: Tt
Board reviewed the minutes of the meeting of September 19, 1978
and after due deliberation found:
1. The hardship evidenced by the petitioner in the fact of
his delay in receiving subdivision approval is real and unique;
2. The relief requested can be granted without any detrimel
to the general neighborhood and area and is in accord with lot
sizes in the area of Tom Nevers subdivision.
On motion made by Member Hyde and seconded by Member Bartsc
it was unanimously voted to grant the variance.
