In thu Platter of the petition of Greisinger (022-74)
requesting a varianee l'rc'ffi tlw Building Code to allow the use of
a piling type foundation (See, 5).
Appear ing for ~lr, Gr<:~is j ng<.~r was Attorney Michael Driscoll.
Driscoll statuu the owner desired to employ a piling type foun-
uati.on to l))'ovidc a flI(~ans -0" l1lovil1f~ th(~ bu:ilding in the event
<'-,>l'usiol1 at SU1'J':-,;ick (',ont;illur:'s unclwcl<(ld. The proposed building
is to be loeaU~d 011 a lot having "cliff-frontage".
Hr. Driscoll presented a plot plan and several renderings
of the structure and site.
The piling f'ounc!,i.ti,on has b(Jcm drawn by a registered engineer
and archi teet and is sLructul~ally sound. Hr. D;~iscoll alsu :::;laLed

3. This type or foundation c.ou]d be used without harm to or
