MEETING SEPTEMBER 12, 1985
As advertised, a bid opening was held ln the Airport
Manager's office at 3:00 p.m.
Airport Commissioners Epple and Craig and the Airport
Manager attended.
Bids were received from Lawrence-Lynch Corporation and
Nantucket Asphalt, Inc. William Dawes of Lawrence-
Lynch, Mike Lamb and Peter Hull of Nantucket Asphalt,
and Don Hastie of Fay, Spofford and Thorndike, our
engineering consultant, were present.
The bid from Lawrence Lynch was opened first and reviewed
by Mr. Hastie. It was complete and accepted. Nantucket
Asphalt's bid was opened and reviewed. It was ruled
unresponsive and unacceptable, as it was not complete.
Bidding was closed at 3:45 p.m., and it was moved the
consultant review the bid and make recommendations to the
Commission.
As in the past, it was agreed that Mr. Robert Allen be
responsible for signing all project documents and contracts.
