MEETING AUGUST 29, 1986
The meeting of the Board of Selectmen and the
Airport Commission was opened at 4:30 p.m. with
the following persons present: Rogers Cabot,
Bernard Grossman, Nancy Severans, Paul Bergendahl,
Robert Allen, Norman Beach, Alexander Craig,
Thomas Giffin, Charles Mayhew, and Town Counsel,
E. Foley Vaughan.
Attorney Vaughan reported to the assembly that
the Bureau of Accounts in Boston has contacted
him that they find the Creglow settlement as an
illegal agreement. Mr. Vaughan requested of the
Airport Commission which direction they would like
him to take in order to settle this dispute. It
was agreed Mr. Vaughan should speak further with
someone from the Department of Revenue, and perhaps
have someone from the Attorney General's office
lend support for our case. If the matter cannot be
resolved to our satisfaction, the Commission will
have to bring suit against the Bureau of Accounts.
