MEETING APRIL 22, 1986
Meeting called to order at 4:15 p.m. by Acting Chairman Norman
Beach. Commissioner Craig and Giffin were present.
The invitation for bids on the completion of the auto parking
lot was read. Town Counsel, who was asked to attend, reviewed
the invitation, and requested minor changes be made, with Fay,
Spofford & Thorndike being contacted for comments. The Commis-
sion approved of the advertising when these issues were resolved.
william McGrath, of McGrath Aviation Services, Inc., who was
present, was asked by Commissioner Giffin that as Massachusetts
Aeronautics Commission did not look favorably on his request to
provide contract airport management, if he would consider with-
drawing. A discussion was held on the conflict of interest, and
it was decided that we write the Ethics Commission listing all
the FBO's who offer similar services on the Airport and the fact
that Mr. McGrath holds stock of Gull Air, our principal airline.
Commissioner Beach was concerned about the extreme cost difference
between comparable parking lot light fictures and had brought a
light to the meeting. It was moved that he contact the Electric
Company to discuss this and compare the lights, they have on hand,
to the less expensive one.
As this meeting was held primarily to approve the advertising for
bid, no other issues were discussed.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
