The Commissioners in attendance were Alexander Craig, Ronald Russell, Ronald Santos, Airport Manager Jo-ann Norris, Airfield Supervisor Bill Welch, and Secretary David Sylvia. The Commission unanimously approved the appointment of Charles Mayhew as Chairman of the Commission for another one-year term. A motion to execute TOSCANA's Agreement to Lease was three for and one against, pending Town Counsel's approval and one change, that it would be for eight acres and not nine. NANTUCKET REDI-MIX sent a letter in reference to exercising his option to a second acre of land directly behind their present leased Bunker property. The Commission would like to set up a second lease for this property at a rate of 40-50 cents per square foot, with five-year reviews and would like to be compensated for the back rent due from the time of the last land survey done about two weeks ago. They would like to have Mr. Strojny start working on the MCD. Manager Norris will see if something could be worked out with the Planning Board or inform Mr. Strojny to move back onto his original one acre until the the BCD is acquired. The Commission also advised that a 21-E soil test must be done on the proposed second acre. It was M/S/P to execute the CLEAN TEAM OF NANTUCKET, INC. contract contingent upon receiving the proper insurance certificates. page 1 of 4 MEETING JULY 7, 1989, continued Manager Norris was requested to instruct refuelers to solicit fuel sales and hand out noise abatement pamphlets. It was M/S/P not to change the tie down and overnight aircraft parking fees on a vote of 3 to 1, with Commissioner Craig opposed. In correspondence, Sherburne, Powers and Needham, (the Law Firm representing COBBLESTONE VILLAGE) will be attending a hearing on underground fuel storage tanks on the proposed COBBLESTONE VILLAGE site and the Commission agreea not to comment. In Operations there were three quotes for Airport insurance coverage. Alpha Aviations Brewer & Lord Frank B. Hall $47,500 $31,966 $25,000 Manager Norris recommended the Airport insurance be placed with Frank B. Hall Insurance Company. Manager Norris informed the Commission that, the battle had been won and the noise abatement message had been added to ATIS. It was M/S/P to inform Town Counsel to proceed with the NANTUCKET ELECTRIC COMPANY land transfer. July 13th there will be a meeting held on the airport layout plan at 10:00 am with FAA's Weedon Parris, Mark Pilla of Edwards and Kel~ey and Commissioners Craig and Santos. Manager Norris noted that the TEMPORARY FUEL PIPELINE integrity test was completed and satisfactory. There was a consensus, by the Commission, to have Airport personnel do a one-time cleaning of the area by Rainbow Motors, change the lock on the Old South Road gate and deny access to any unauthorized personnel. Commissioner Santos informed the Commission that Gary Saunders, of COASTAL AIR requested permission to rent out Coastal's new hangar to other aircraft operators for a i-year period or until Coastal decides what to do with the hangar.
