HEETING
March 22, 1989
Commission Chairman Charles Mayhew called the meeting to order at
5:35 p.m. Commissioners in attendance were Alexander Craig,
Ronald Russell, Ronald Santos, E. Foley Vaughan. Also attending
were Manager Jo-ann M. Norris, Airfield Supervisor Bill Welch and
Secretary Myrtle Eldridge.
The heating system in the terminal building was reactivated due
to the temporary system being in violation of State codes. After
Manager Norris reviewed the options available to the Airport, a
motion was M/S/P to obtain bids for a hot-air, oil fired heating
system (cost is approximately $14,500) from local contractors, on
the basis that this is an emergency situation. Bill Welch will
contact those capable of providing this service and indicate the
requirements/specifications desired and request a bid from those
parties interested. Allowance for bid receipt will be one week
after notice is received by potential contractor.
The following revised forms were presented for review and
approval:
1. Minimum Standards And Procedures For Conducting An
Aircraft Fueling/Transient Parking And Tie Down
Business At The Nantucket Memorial Airport.
2. Minimum Standards and Procedures For The Conduct Of
Business Of A Fixed Base Operator Exclusive Of The

3. Fixed Base Operator License.
Manager Norris advised the Commission that approval from FAA, MAC
and Town Counsel should be obtained prior to distributing these
forms to interested parties.
A motion was M/S/P to accept these revised forms subject to
additional changes and adjustments.
