AIRPORT COMMISSION MEETING
September 10, 1990
Chairman Ronald Santos called this Meeting to order at 3:03 pm,
announcing the purpose of the Meeting was for the Commission, and
the public, to interview the two final applicants for the position
of Airport Manager.
Commissioners present were Joseph McLaughlin, Ronald Russell, and
Charles Mayhew. Commissioner E. Foley Vaughan was off-island due
to family illness. Also present were Acting Manager Jo-ann M.
Norris, Director of Operations John McDonald and Commission
Secretary Myrtle Eldridge.
A roll call vote, to adjourn, to another room, for an EXECUTIVE
SESSION concerning the new manager's contract, was taken at 3:05
pm.

The Commission reconvened at 3:15 pm, to commence the interview
with the first applicant, Fred H. Jaeger.

Greeley, Colorado, responded to inquiries until 4:08 pm, at which
time a short recess was called pending the arrival of the second
applicant. Mr. Jaeger was informed that he would be notified of
the Commission's decision by Wednesday, September 12th.

The Meeting reconvened at 4:20 pm, upon the arrival of the second
applicant, Mr. Daniel T. Weber, Assistant Director of Aviation,
Springfield Regional Airport, Springfield, Missouri.
At the conclusion of Mr. Weber's interview, Chairman Santos
acknowledged the excellent job done by the Search Committee,
resulting in the selection of these two outstanding applicants.
Chairman Santos requested the consensus of the Commission and
Commissioner Mayhew made the motion to delay their decision until
the September 11, 1990 Meeting. This motion was seconded by
Commissioner McLaughlin and passed.
The motion to adjourn at 5:05 pm was made by Commissioner Mayhew
and seconded and passed.
