The meeting came to order at 8PM all members of the Board being present.
Warrant No. 38 totalling 17,858.45 Was presented by' Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes~ of the previous mee~.ing were read and apProved.
It was voted that starting next week and until further notice
our regulars: weekly meetings would start at 7.30 PM
Mr. Clifford Ryder was Present and complained about the soot
from the Lst Nat.' Stores incinerator, presented a hand-
kerchief with a sample of spot of soot which he said
was Constantly .recurring and spoiling his wiles washing.
After discussion it was voted to ask Mr. bIelvin Ray Mgr.
of the 1st NaUt. to meet with us at our next meeting.
~r. Henry'Gar~nett was present a'nd advised' the' Board that.he
would need a transfer of 104.00 to cover the expenses
of Vet. graves.
The Board on'recommen'datio'n Of 'Chief Howe's voted to have Winter
St. marked no parking on the West side. It was further
voted to suspend the lhr parking regulations for the
winter and to remove the no parking signs on S. Water St.
· from Pearl to Main.
A letter was received from Supt'; of'streets'Jaeckle relative to
the surface water condition at the Boian'property in
,- Sconset , and 'advising that he had consulted withMr. Eldridg~
of the Sconset Civic Asso. and that they would put an
article inthe annual warrant to take care of this matter.
A letter Was received from Atty. Robert B. Mo6~ey requesting
the Boards approval of the.sale 'of ~the stock of The Island~
Inc. to'one Anne F. '~Haley and James D. Driscoll, and an
application was received from Anne Fd'Haley as Gen. Mgr.

A letter was'r'eceived'from the Sewer-Dept. advising that the
Board could have the use of their small tractor for a
trail use'at.the Town'dump, so long as we assumed the
costs of ins. ,and repairs etc; Voted to'advise the Supt.
of streets of the Boards deCision inlthis matter and set
a date for.the transfer of this equipment to the dump.
On re uest of Walter low~cki the f01 i appointed
as public weighers: Walter F. Glowacki; Walt er J. Glowack
Voted to have the ~comf6rt Stations 'remaiti "$:P6~until Oct. 13th
On request ;f MfS 'Gertrude ~a~b' rot a permit to conduct a mobile
lunch cart business about town, .the'Board voted to approve
same for~the period ending'l June~1964 with'condition that
~the said unit cannot, operate within the 'area emcompassed
by the Pac.·,,Bank on' the:West. ,Broad St; 'on the N. the
Harbor. on the Bast and Coffin Street'on the South.
There.being~no further business.the Board went'into executive
session aud adj. at 9; 30 PM.
