The regular meeting~of the B~ard of Seiect~en Was
this Thursday evening at 8:12 p. m. with all members .
Tr~sury'warrant '~1 in'the amount 'of $5,691.80 *as Warrant
pre'sented,~
~signed and approved.
Mr. Nathan Thurston made a ~omplaint to the Board complaint
about Peter. Rose who has been collecting garbage from Town
people without being requested to do so, and also about
scattering same along.the Town streets. The Board voted to
let Mr. Rose collect garbage from the "Green Coffee Pot'"
and the "Woodbox" only.
Mr. Marlin Roundsville was present to discuss the Roads
chasing of roads. The Board asked him if he could'submit
a price per square yard including grading. No action was
taken.
Mr.' John Hardy and Mr. Leroy Pease of the veteran's ~r~ns"
Housing Authority were present. They~stated that no pro- g
gress could be ma~e until the Governor elected a fifth y
ber. to the'Authority. Also that the first meeting of this
Committee should be held with the Board of Selectmen to set
things up properly.
~ Gordon Motor Company was granted a renewal of their License
second-hand motor vehicle license ~or 1949.
Congdon's Pharmacy was granted a renewal of their License
licenses to sell ice cream and soft drinks.
R. G. Coffin & Co. was granted a renewal of their License~
cream and soft drinks licenses.
· Chris~mas c~rds were received from Mr. Clifford Eddy
and Mr. William Henderson.
It was.voted to have a new gas stove installed in the Tax
Tax Collector's Office. Collector

It was voted to put a stop sign on the Airport Road Stop

to come out of the Veterans'~Benefits and Francis Burton's

~A~conference was hgid ~ith~ Mrj. Mather and the li~ense-
ed electricians, at which time the'electricians were called Inspector
upon to express their opinions of the duties of whoever
might be Mr. ~ther's successor.
A letter was r'eceived from the'~State ReClamation Mosquito
Board stating that they would like the ~own to ~ai~e $700. Control

Mr. Coffin made a moti6n that~ Mr.~Tice be instructed Ca~s on
to have his men pick up cans on the beaches, clean them up Beaches
and store them for the winter. So' voted.
