~Mr. Cha'~les~B10unt reported on t~e shellfish-situation;~ HE Shellf'ish
Stated that he received'55 bushels of mixed' quahaugs from
Wheeler and a voucher in the amount of $202.00, and he contem-
plated putting 35 bushels of ~the same on Hussey Shoal and the
balance of the shipment at Madaket.
Mr. Coleman' ~made~a motion that Mr. B10unt make arrangement~ Opening
to open H~nmock and Sachacha Ponds to improve the fishing. It Of Ponds
was so voted.
' A letter was received from The Massachusetts.Selectmens, General
Association enclosing a list of the acts of 1948 of the General Court
Court. Voted that same be referred to Mr. Sanguinetti.
HarOld E. Anderson was granted a permit tO erect a two car
garage and shop at 2 West SilverJStreet. , for Garage

A letter was received from Mr. Roy Sanguinetti ~egarding~
a road below the bank in Siasconset. Voted to request Clerk of~ Road in
County Commissioners to prepare the petition for layout of same. Sconset
A Communication was received from Mr. Albert Co~ote' thanking
Mr. Tice and his men for the excellent road service between the
Madaket Coast Guard Station and Smith's Point.
A~ request was received f~om the Mas&achusetts Democratic~
State Committee a§king for a list of names of the persons chosen
to officiate at the November election.
A c~mplaint ~as received from Mr. and ~rs. Frank C~rea Compi~in~
at ~l Fayette Street regarding the water ~on their~property from
rain.~ Voted to instruct sewer commission to install a drain,
to t-' ~rry--all'~ ~the surface' water from this vacinity into the
harbor. -

A letter Was ~ received f~om the sportsmen's' Club stating
that they would show the movie on Rodent Control on the first
Tuesday in December.
~ A~ letter was received from Mr.~ Jay Gibbs-stating that the
.TOwn Bell had never rung more than three to five minutes 'on
Armistice Day. ~Voted to check with the two organizations who
requested the same, to see if a mistake had been made in the
~ N~w England Telephone'& Telegraph Company ~was grant~d~a ,
permit to erect one joint pole on Pine Streetbbetween Twin and
L~on Streets.

Mr. Coffin made a motion that the Selectmens' meetings be~
held~ on Thursday evenings. It was so voted.~ Also that Clerk of
County, Town Accountant, and Town Treasurer be notified of same.
