Those present ~ere, Representative Barnes, Selectmen Walter D. Glidden, Hen{~y B. Col$~a~n and I. 'A. Soverino. Shellfish Inspector, Charles Blount, was also ~present. Others in attsndance were,.NiclT~olas E. No~ton, Ellison H. Pease, Howard'Barber, Mr. Edo~ard Stackpole, Joseph Sylvia and Captain Leland S. Topha~m] Representative ~ Barnes introduced, ~ with approp~iat~ remarks: Mr. ~.Theeler. I~ir. ?fheeler then spoke with'reference to the shellfish program, and expressed his ernest desire tc assist Nantucket in every way possible .in its shellfish propagation work. ~, M~. %Vheeler~stated he thought it pos sibl$,~and would do everything %-~ithin his power,, to furnish fifty bushels of ~oft shell clam seed tO be shipped~in bo×es,~Jnd on'e±hundred bushel ~6f oualiaug seed, b6th 6f these items to be shipPed in'the very near future. ~ ~- M~. ~Whe~Jl~r~adv~sed the Board ti{at he intended, as Mr. Blount's assista~nt~, to '~-~'rocure s~%mples of several areas to take back With~ him for analysis.
