A letter was received f~om Mr. Cash i~o~ing the Board that
two nutses at the Island Home wished to resin. The Board felt that
Mr. Cash and Mr. ~er would be able to find replacements ~thout
advertising for them.
Frederick P. Hill complained about the lack of a fire horn
in Siasconset. Mr. Coffin informed the Board that a temporary ~larm
had been installed on the School House that morning, which it was
hoped ~ould be satisfactory untll the permanent one could be install
ed.
'.'A Letter was received from the Dept. of Pubiic Works stating
that tAey would send an Ebgineer down to go over the proposed
change in layout of Sparks Ave.-and South Prospect St.
A letter from the Cape Cod Chamber of 0ommerce requesting
$2~6.~from ~antucket to continue the pressure on The Old Colony Line
was referred to Mr. Nanter. The Board was not in fa~o~ of such sn~
assessment.. --
A letter was received f~om the Division of Marine~Fisheries~
state~ng the Mr. Barnes had resigned and that Mr. Charles L. V~neeler
8~8 Palmer~ Ave., Falmouth ( Tel Falmouth 181~W) was taking hiA
place. ~
A letter was received from Sen. Stone on the train service
to Woods Hole~
~ ~ A c0m~laint signed by ten residents'~on Darling St. or
vicinity requested the Board to refuse a permit f~or a garage
~sandwiched in between ' and 10 Darling St.
The houseing program was. discussed informally.
